Is This the Right Fit for You?
Let’s make sure we’re aligned before we begin.
This space is rooted in intentional, curl-focused care — built for clients who are ready to embrace, invest in, and nurture their natural texture. If you're curious whether my services are the right match for you, take a moment to reflect on the questions below:

-
Are you looking for a personalized salon experience for your curly, super curly, or coily hair?
-
Are you currently embracing or ready to embrace your natural curls or coils?
-
Are you open to investing in professional-grade products or tools to support your hair health at home?
-
Are you wearing your hair in its natural pattern at least 95% of the time, free from heat or chemical relaxers?
-
Do you understand that this journey may require multiple visits to achieve your desired results?
-
Are you open to adapting habits and decisions behind the chair that support your healthiest, happiest curls?
If you answered yes to most of these, I’d love to work with you.
The Pre-Visit
Your first visit isn’t just about a haircut — it’s a collaboration rooted in trust, intention, and a shared goal: helping you feel more connected and confident in your natural texture.

I am proudly certified in Rezo, DevaCurl, and several other curl-specific methods developed by small, independent educators. My signature approach is rooted in dry cutting, which means I cut your hair in its natural, lived-in state. This allows me to assess your unique curl pattern, density, and growth tendencies to create a custom shape that works with your curls — not against them. It’s a technique that’s especially helpful for correcting past shape issues, weight distribution problems, or that “triangle” effect we all dread.

To give you the best possible outcome, proper curl prep is essential — it allows me to see your hair’s natural behavior so I can cut with accuracy and intention.

Here’s how to prep:
-
Arrive with your hair fully dry and detangled
-
Style it as you normally would, with defined curls worn down
-
Avoid heavy oils, butters, or gels — less is more
-
No buns, braids, clips, ponytails, or hats — I need to see your hair as it lives.

Showing up prepared is the first step in honoring your hair and embracing this new chapter with clarity and care.

The Consultation
We’ll begin with a thorough consultation to understand your hair goals, daily routine, and any challenges you’ve been facing. From there, I’ll tailor your service to your unique needs — whether it’s a foundational curly cut, a restorative reset, or a style that highlights your texture. You can expect a custom dry cut, a full cleansing and styling session, and the space to ask questions and deepen your understanding of your hair throughout.

In many cases, the first appointment is what I lovingly call a transitional cut. If your current shape or condition requires more correction, we may need multiple visits to fully achieve your desired look. My favorite saying — “The cuts get better and better” — holds true for a reason. Curl journeys require patience, trust, and consistency, but if you’re in it for the long game, the results are absolutely worth it.

I encourage you to bring all your questions to your consultation — this is your time to learn and get clarity about your curls. Whether it’s about your routine, products, or styling techniques, I want you to feel empowered to direct the appointment so we can tailor everything to your unique needs. Your curiosity helps make this experience truly personalized.

After Your Visit
After your experience, you’ll receive a personalized curl regimen by email. This includes the products used during your service, my recommendations for at-home care, and links to tools, accessories, and treatments to support your journey.

Your progress lives in the day-to-day — so while I’m here to guide and support you, your consistency at home is what brings long-term transformation. It’s important to know that your progress on this journey depends on you showing up for your hair every day and being willing to care for it, learn, and embrace whatever your curls choose to do. I’ll guide you every step of the way, but your commitment makes all the difference.

Between now and your next visit, your role is to cultivate positive habits and focus on nourishing your curls with care. This might mean adjusting your product routine, refining your overall hair care approach, or introducing helpful tools like sleepwear or shower head filters—whatever your curls need to thrive.

Always remember, I’m rooting for you every step of the way. I can't wait to see your curls flourish!
